​Fan Content Policy & Guidelines

We are so proud to have a community that loves our characters as much as we do! We love seeing fan art, fan fiction, and other fan content and creations. We want to make sure that everyone has a great time creating and sharing their work, so we have some guidelines to help you understand what you can and can’t do with our characters and stories.

First off: We reserve the right to issue takedown notices for anything that we feel infringes on our intellectual property.

By following these guidelines, that hopefully shouldn't be necessary, as we want to encourage you to keep creating amazing content!

1. Free: If you do not require payment, subscriptions, email registrations, surveys, signups or otherwise condition access to your Fan Content on consideration of any kind, its generally ok. It also means it can’t be made in connection with, or in order to promote paid services or websites.
   You may use Fan Content in connection with a Twitch, YouTube, or other account that is monetized with advertisements as long as you are otherwise in compliance with these guidelines.
2. Unofficial Merch: Making and selling limited, hand-made fan merchandise inspired by our characters is generally fine, and does not require getting express written permission from us. However, you are not permitted to mass-produce or mass-distribute items unless you have our express written permission. You must make clear that your items are unofficial, and not related to or authorized by Xylem Studios. Do not use official art or assets from our games as those are copyright protected.
   You can only sell items directly to consumers. Do not sell them on large stores such as Redbubble, Displate, Society6, or Amazon. Additionally, selling them through crowdfunding sites such as Kickstarter, would also not be allowed.
3. Appropriate: Do not associate Xylem Studios or RAM with content that runs counter to the spirit of our game. This would include content that is offensive, inappropriate, or otherwise in poor taste. Judgement of this content is at our discretion.
4. Do not create NFTs (non-fungible tokens) or cryptocurrencies using our IPs or related to our IPs in any way.

We reserve the right to ask you to remove works at any time at our sole discretion. We likewise reserve the right to update this policy at any time and for any reason.
